ITINERARY

Day 1 – Montreal

Upon your arrival, settle comfortably at the Monville Hotel, a 4-star hotel located less than a kilometer from the Old Port. In the evening, head just a few steps from your hotel to Notre-Dame Basilica to experience the illuminating Aura Experience.

Day 2 – Quebec City

Upon your arrival in the Old Capital, explore Old Quebec on foot or with the optional Red Bus Tour ($), or visit the famous Musée de la civilisation ($). In the evening, settle comfortably at the magnificent Hotel Le Concorde, a 4-star establishment located within walking distance of all major attractions.

Day 3 – Quebec City

On your second day in the Old Capital, board the AML Louis Jolliet for a 1.5-hour guided cruise that will offer you a breathtaking view of Château Frontenac, Montmorency Falls, and Île d’Orléans. You can enjoy the fresh air and take unique photos. Afterwards, why not take your vehicle and visit the dozens of market gardeners and vineyards on Île d’Orléans. Spend another night at Hotel Le Concorde and admire the view from its restaurant Le Ciel, located at the top of the building.

Day 4 – Baie St-Paul

Travel along one of Quebec’s most beautiful scenic routes to reach Charlevoix, an iconic region of Quebec. Take the time to enjoy a short lunchtime train ride aboard the Train de Charlevoix ($). A Grand Comfort room awaits you at the Hôtel Baie St-Paul for a restful night.

Day 5 – La Malbaie

After breakfast at the hotel, follow the river along Route 362 to La Malbaie. Take the opportunity to stroll through the streets of this quintessential Charlevoix village and visit the Charlevoix Museum, a must see that will introduce you to its history and folk art from yesterday to today. End your day by gambling at the nearby Casino de Charlevoix. Sleep peacefully at the Auberge des 3 Canards.

Day 6 – Tadoussac

Leaving the Auberge in the morning, you can once again enjoy the scenic route to Tadoussac. You will be amazed by the breathtaking view of the St. Lawrence River. Tadoussac is known as the most beautiful village in Quebec, and once you are there, you will be charmed by its picturesque atmosphere. After exploring the village streets and visiting the dunes, head the Ferme 5 Étoiles in Sacré-Coeur to observe the black bear in its habitat and spend the night in this unique place.

Day 7 – Whale Watching Cruise – Baie-Comeau

Before leaving your nest, take the opportunity to care for the animals at Ferme 5 Étoiles with an animal health technician. Then, set out to meet the giants of the sea, either by Zodiac for the more adventurous or in the comfort of a Croisières AML boat especially designed for marine mammal watching. This will undoubtedly be the highlight of your stay, as the Saguenay-St. Lawrence Marine Park is renowned as the best whale-watching site in the world. Naturalist guides will teach you more about the dozen whale species that live in the St. Lawrence Estuary. You will quickly understand why the Marine Park is considered the best site in the world for marine mammal watching! After the cruise, head to Baie-Comeau to spend the night at Hôtel Le Manoir.

Day 8 – Ferry – Godbout/Matane – Rivière-du-Loup

Before boarding the ferry in Godbout (11 a.m.) towards Matane, make a gourmet stop at Pêcherie Manicouagan ($ optional). Once on the other side, head west and make a stop in Rimouski at the Site historique maritime de la Pointe-au-Père ($ optional). Then, go to the Auberge de la Pointe in Rivière-du-Loup, where you can admire a breathtaking view and rest for the night.
