D1: Departure to Baie-Comeau

In the morning, drive to the North Shore through the Charlevoix region. The road along the St. Lawrence River coastline allows you to admire charming villages and breathtaking landscapes. D/S

D2: Baie-Comeau

In the morning, just a few minutes from downtown Baie-Comeau, make a photo stop at Manic-2. Enjoy a city tour of Baie-Comeau and a visit to the Sainte-Amélie Church. The town of Sainte-Amélie was founded in 1937, under the incentive of Colonel Robert McCormick of the Chicago Tribune, in order to set up a pulp and paper mill to supply his newspapers. In the afternoon, take a guided hike in the Pointe-aux-Outardes Nature Park. You will be able to observe the flora and fauna and learn more about the medicinal virtues of edible berries. PD/D

D3: Baie-Comeau – Sept-Îles

In the morning, visit of the Village Forestier d’Antan de Franquelin which testifies to the forestry heritage of the North Shore and allows us to discover this industry and the living conditions of the lumberjacks between 1916 and 1960. Drive to Sept-Îles, an industrial city, also known for its magnificent beaches. In the afternoon, a city tour of Sept-Îles to discover the Old Wharf Park and the Innu community of Uashat-mak-Mani-Utenam. Visit the Musée Régional de la Côte-Nord and discover the rich Innu and Quebecois heritage of the North Shore through several exhibits in the fields of archaeology, ethnology, natural sciences, photography and fine arts. D4: Sept-Îles – Havre-Saint-Pierre (2 nights)

In the morning, drive to Havre-Saint-Pierre, a road along the coast dotted with small fishing villages. On the way, stop at the village of Rivière-au-Tonnerre to discover its unique church and taste some of the products of the Marinière du Nord. In the afternoon, enjoy a cruise in the Mingan Archipelago National Park with a guided visit of an island and admire the impressive monoliths. Check-in at the Havre-Saint-Pierre hotel for two nights. D5: Havre-Saint-Pierre – Natashquan – Havre-Saint-Pierre

In the morning, drive to Natashquan, a town known for the warm welcome of its inhabitants and the birthplace of the well-known Gilles Vigneault. On the way, stop at Baie-Johan-Beetz, a village located in the heart of the taiga, known for its magnificent red-roofed house that was once inhabited by the Belgian naturalist Johan Beetz. In the afternoon, take an orientation tour of Natashquan on the wooden boardwalk and discover the Magasin des Galets, which was once a site devoted to cod fishing activities. It is now a heritage site that highlights the history of Natashquan. Return to Havre-Saint-Pierre. PD/S

D6: Havre-Saint-Pierre – Baie-Comeau

In the morning, drive to Baie-Comeau. In the afternoon, visit the Pointe-des-Monts lighthouse. This lighthouse guided the sailors who sailed on the stormy waters of the St. Lawrence. In total, seven keepers succeeded one another from 1830 on. You will be able to climb the seven floors of the exhibition and contemplate the panoramic view at a height of 21 meters from the ground. Check-in at the hotel in Baie-Comeau at the end of the evening. PD/D/S

D7: Baie-Comeau – Tadoussac – Return

In the morning, visit the Centre Archéo Topo. Discover 9000 years of history of the North Shore, from its first Amerindian inhabitants to the development of its cities, villages and industries. Drive to Tadoussac. Return
