What to expect during your getaway

Day 1: Québec City → La Malbaie

Date: October 23, 2025

  • Departure: Between 6:00 AM and 10:30 AM, depending on the boarding point chosen (see details at the bottom of the page)

In the morning, travel to the magnificent Charlevoix region. Enjoy lunch and free time in Baie-Saint-Paul to explore the many art galleries along rue Saint-Jean-Baptiste. In the afternoon, take a guided tour of the Safran Nordique saffron farm, set on an exceptional site. Learn more about saffron cultivation and discover their line of saffron-based products and cosmetics. In the evening, a dinner is included at Le Petit Manoir du Casino, after which you can try your luck at the Casino de Charlevoix!

Please note that the bus driver’s hours are limited in the evening. If you wish to stay at the Casino past 7:30 p.m., the return to the hotel will be at your own expense (by taxi or on foot).

Day 2: La Malbaie → Baie-Sainte-Catherine → Québec City

Date: October 24, 2025

In the morning, depart for Baie-Sainte-Catherine, where you’ll board the Cavalier Maxim. Once the cruise begins, a delicious plated brunch will be served. During the cruise, enjoy a variety of activities: a lecture on the history of the St. Lawrence River, games and entertainment, and the expertise of a naturalist guide who will share insights about the whales, the fjord, and the St. Lawrence lighthouses. Later, savour a three-course lunch including an appetizer, main course, and dessert, for an unforgettable bistronomic experience.
